Artist's Description

Every carrier requires a \"carrier-on-board-delivery\" vehicle ... and in the 1960s, this was it. The "COD" was always a welcome sight for the sailors when it trapped aboard ... because it usually carried the mail. This is a great piece for the carrier veteran or Grumman fan.

About Mike Ray

Mike Ray

Mike Ray was a pilot for a whole lotta years ... what started out in 1962 as a tour with the United States Navy flying the Grumman S2 Tracker wound up being a career with United airlines and ended up in 1999 as a Boeing 747-400 Captain. It was a great life and now that he has been retired from flying, he wants to share his experiences with other airplane lovers. Having spent most of his youth strapped to airplane seats, he brings his own personal, but interesting perspective to the world of aviation.
