Really nice Mike. I love the Skyhawk. Especially later ones with the "camel back". Andy

Artist's Description

Designated VSF (literally ASW fighter) by the US Navy, these airplanes served aboard the CVS carriers during the cold war. Their mission was to deter the Soviet air threat. This print will frame up beautifully and makes a great gift for any veteran "scooter" pilot or skyhawk fan.

About Mike Ray

Mike Ray

Mike Ray was a pilot for a whole lotta years ... what started out in 1962 as a tour with the United States Navy flying the Grumman S2 Tracker wound up being a career with United airlines and ended up in 1999 as a Boeing 747-400 Captain. It was a great life and now that he has been retired from flying, he wants to share his experiences with other airplane lovers. Having spent most of his youth strapped to airplane seats, he brings his own personal, but interesting perspective to the world of aviation. You can always visit Mike over at his website: www.utem.com.
